Why Does the Tuff Tile Rate Differ Between Cities?
Four factors decide the price you pay in your city:
- Distance from manufacturing hubs. Tuff tiles are heavy — transport is a real cost per truck. Cities near production clusters (Karachi, Lahore, Taxila/Rawalpindi belt) usually see the lowest rates because tiles travel shorter distances.
- Number of middlemen. The tile that leaves a factory at one price passes through stockists, dealers and sub-dealers. Each layer adds margin. This is why two shops in the same city can quote Rs 82 and Rs 120 for similar tiles.
- Cement and aggregate costs. Cement is the biggest material input. When cement prices rise mid-year, factory-gate rates follow — dealers who bought old stock may briefly sell cheaper, then adjust.
- Local competition. Cities with many manufacturers (Karachi, Lahore) have tighter, more competitive pricing. Smaller cities with few suppliers can run higher.

Factory Rate vs Dealer Rate — The Real Difference
A dealer buys from the factory, adds transport, godown cost and margin, then sells to you. A sub-dealer adds another margin on top. By the time the tile reaches your site, the price can be 20–40% above the factory gate.

- You can visit the production unit and check raw materials, moulds and curing before ordering (we welcome factory visits).

How to Compare Tuff Tile Quotes (Checklist)
Quotes are only comparable when they describe the same product. Before you compare, ask every supplier these five questions:

- Interlocking pavers — what PSI/grade? Pavers carry strength grades (5000–7000 PSI for quality production). If a supplier cannot state the grade, be cautious.
- Color included? Plain grey is the cheapest; red, black and yellow cost more. Confirm the quoted color.
- Delivery included? Some quotes exclude transport — a “cheap” rate plus a separate truck charge is not cheap.
- Installation included? Material rate and installed rate are different things.
Red flag: a quote far below the city range usually means thinner tiles, weak cement mix, or no curing — tiles that crack within a year. The cheapest tile is the one you only buy once.
